George Gearing – Vice Chair
I am a proud to be the vice chair of Bury Town Community Youth Football Club and member responsible for the Women’s and Adult Disability Team development.
I have been a part of the football club, first as an assistant coach and now team manager for the Women’s team and U16 Boys Lions team, since my daughter joined to play for the club in the 2020-21 season.
Since that time, both my children have grown to love football, established great friendships, built resilience and have learnt so much about being part of a team. I am a firm believer in every child having the opportunity to participate in football, regardless of the social barriers and that we, as a football club have an important role to play in the community.
In my professional life, I am a local government Commissioning Manager. This involves leadership of programmes to support some of the most disadvantaged families in society; heading up successful projects and programmes in Covid recovery, support with the cost-of-living crisis and community engagement.
I feel privileged to be working within such a fantastic community club, with incredible coaches and volunteers, who work hard to create a happy and safe environment for children to learn their football skills.

Eleanor Ling – Community Sponsorship and Fundraising Coordinator
At just six years old, I was pitch-side most weekends at Portman Road, with an autograph book waiting to see the Ipswich Town players before the match. My first game was Town vs QPR – and over 20 years later, that passion for football remains the same.
Today, I’m proud to support Bury Town Football Club by building meaningful partnerships and securing vital funding that helps our players, teams, and the wider club to thrive. I joined the club in January 2024, bringing my design and communications experience to grassroots football with the aim to connect us with the right people and opportunities, and to create a sustainable and secure future for the club as a charity.
My background is in creative design, luxury fashion, and communications, working for companies like Burberry and Christian Dior. I later took my artistic skillset into education, where my passion for football came through whilst encouraging participation and the set up of matches and skills sessions across all ages throughout the school.
When I’m not working, I’m learning to ski, abseiling from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, or watching motorsport. In 2024, I learned to skydive which is the best experience by far.

James – Pitch & Facilities & Head of Operations
I’ve been involved with Bury Town since 2018 when I completed my FA level 1 to be the coach for my sons U7s. I’m just about to start my 9th season as coach of the and team at U15s.
I joined the BTCFC committee last year as I could see the great job the committee were doing with the youth section and I felt I could give more time to assist in anyway I could. I have just been allocated match/training venue allocation/head operations.
I’m an avid follower of BTFC first team going to all home and several away games.

Dan – Media Coordinator
Joining the club in summer 2023 as Media Officer, Dan keeps Bury Town Community F.C.’s digital spaces updated with the latest news, information, and content.
The areas Dan looks after include our social media, emails, and even this website!
Dan’s goals are to support trustees and volunteers in ensuring players and parents are informed about the latest developments throughout the year, and reaching new audiences to help the club grow.
Outside of football, Dan works in marketing and has experience in live events, technology, and wholesale distribution.”
